Family Assistance
Family Assistance Volunteers help families in crisis navigate their troubles and reach a happy solution. Many times, individuals will feel hopeless and trapped by their circumstances. These feelings fade when kindhearted volunteer interviewers help them tackle the issues, turning their crisis into a manageable problem.
Staff and volunteers work with clients on a one-on-one basis to assess a client’s need, the amount of assistance required, MAM’s capacity to address these issues, and if referrals to other programs are necessary for the client’s well-being. The Client Interviewers will explain how MAM’s assistance programs work, answer clients’ questions, and determine eligibility for programs. All clients are recorded into the MAM database.
